Day trip with Geraldine/Temuka Club
Sep 11, 2021 8:00 AM

The Geraldine/Temuka Club have offered us the opportunity to join them in a day trip up North on Monday 11th September.

The trip will include a visit to Rolleston Inland Port, Lunch, and then a tour around Rollestonz.

Cars would leave Waimate at 8am, and then meet the bus at Temuka to travel with their club from there.

Please email or contact Harvey if interested.

Taieri Club Exchange
Oct 15, 2021 - Oct 17, 2021

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE - 8 OCTOBER 2021

This is the proposal from Taieri:

“15-17 October 2021

Travel down on Friday, some in the morning if they are free, others in afternoon if they have work commitments.

Meet at AG Peter Williams for a pot luck dinner with Taieri hosts. (They can cater for 30-40 people at a dinner)

After dinner, visitors would head off to the Taieri hosts places.

On Saturday head to TauTuku for a days activities.

Accommodation is a bit basic, the website might show a little more detail, there is bunking available for 80 with some more private huts if ladies want to join in.

Activities might include preparation for painting, construction of a wharf, planting and track maintenance (not sure on this) and perhaps the meal prep. There are also walks to a waterfall and general sightseeing.

Balclutha and Milton Rotary would also be involved as they have been planning a joint exercise as part of Rotary centenary celebrations.  Milton Rotary are strong partners of the Otago Youth Development Trust which runs the supported tramps like the Kepler, Stewart Island, Milford, Humpridge, and supported cycle tours like Alps 2 Ocean and the Central Otago trails.  It earns Milton Rotary tens of thousands of dollars every year.

Sunday tidy up activities and back to Dunedin or Waimate- those that don’t have Monday work commitments might like to stay Sunday night at TauTuku or with Taieri hosts.”
