A few words from Alan
This week’s Meeting: the ever competitive Membership Committee Director Russell will be at his very best this week. With the meal already planned he will be marshalling the Membership team chefs into producing a meal of the highest quality with flavour that is the envy of any herb garden (or as the Americans call them ‘erb garden). He has promised that the Mains will be served before Desert and that we will love it. Good Luck
Allan Laurie and Bush Town: The Bush town committee and supporters are going great guns as evidenced by the superior build quality of the bridge cladding fixed in place on Section 16 of the ‘old’ Kurow Bridge this past weekend.
53 boards cut to length, de-arrised and screwed in place. This completes half of the total job with one more bridge section to complete. Great BBQ and sit down chat held afterwards. Thanks to Ann Dennison, Joy McIvor, Margaret Nicol plus Kevin Field, Graham Lawrence Lyndsay Hossack, Rob, Allan, Michael and I, who all contributed to the day.

Rotary Trees: Lots of progress made last week in caring for our trees…
Greig, Jim Rayner, John Coles, Robyn Murphy, John Abraham plus Ryan Moffat and 5 energetic Glenavy school kids all contributed in the removal of branches and clearing them off the track. Lots still to do with some large branches that we will need chainsaws to trim. Trees are growing really well some as high as 10 meters estimated. Watch out for the next request for a working bee. Very important as they are a long term investment of the club.

Last week’s Talk: A very interesting and informative talk from Adam last week. What a wee gem of a tourist and/or locals destination right in amongst us. Clearly evidence of hard work and passion getting results.
Reminds me of a quote: live passionately for today and purposefully for tomorrow.
