The Waimate Focus

From the Presidents notebook

Ata Marie Rotarians

I particularly love this time of the year, not only because we are nearing the festive season, but because this club gets busy. There is always something on this time of the year and it starts with the auction, followed by fellowship weekend and then we are on to the Christmas parade and fun times in the park.

I thoroughly enjoyed this year at fellowship weekend, like I do every other year since I’ve been going. Alan Laurie does an exceptional job and I strongly encourage you all, whether you’re into biking, fishing or golf, or just like hanging out with like-minded people, to get yourself along to next years fellowship weekend. It is well worth it!

On a personal note, I would just like to say that even though I am an avid Fisher person (this year my role was Captain) the Murray children have my genes And came home with all the fish. I won’t mention Dylan’s fish that got away…

Stay safe everyone, see you on Thursday!
