My first night out of the way - a few more to go!!!!
I have had agenda attending various changeover events - Oamaru Club, Timaru Club, District 9999 Changeover and Waimate Lions. Two to go, Temuka Geraldine and Whitehorse Lions.
District 9999 Changeover on Saturday night was a very good night, surprising who I knew there. With the absence of a District Conference it is something that we could support more as it is great for networking. I am not eating at home very often!!!
It was a good start to bring the District Trophy home from District Changeover. The Cup goes to the Club with the best Foundation Giving per head. Congratulations to Carolyn and her team
Waimate Club is held in high regard by The District in relation to our Foundation Giving
So much so that our District Governor Phil Gully wants to come to this year's event. It will be great to see him there. We might be able to extract some "foreign capital" from him. He will bring an article to sell more about that later.
With Our Mayor Craig Rowley as guest speaker next week, I am sure we will have an interesting night
