2024-35 President, Peter Bell

Last Thursday we celebrated the past 12 months of Rotary under the exceptional leadership of Peter Bell. During his final speech, Peter acknowledged and thanked his incredible directors; Sam Rooney (Community), Michael Horne (Membership), Lyn Stringer (Public Image), Sharon Ronson (Youth), Ray Love (Vocational), and Ken Buckingham (International), highlighting all that they had accomplished.

Peter also spoke of the incredible support from Carolyn Johns (secretary). Peter said "Your experience and expertise in this role has made my year as President considerably easier knowing you are quietly sorting things for me."

Peter also spoke about his support and appreciation of Sharvani, Paul and Raewyn (Finance), Cara and Dylan (programme), Raewyn (meals on wheels), Ian, Greig, John and Russell (Sergeants), Marianna, Tony and Chris (raffles) and Sharyn Cain for making "each week a breeze." 

Peter finished his speech by saying "Thank you for giving me this opportunity to lead the club for the year. It has been an amazing experience for me. The support I have had from all club members has been fantastic. Thank you.

It doesn't hurt to remind ourselves that we are a club with 53 talented and very knowledgable people who together make a difference to the lives of many people.

I would like to wish Greig all the best for the year ahead."
