It was great to be attend the Dawn Parade at Victoria Park on ANZAC day, a great Autum Morning and a very well attended service.
Last week a group of Waimate Rotarians attended Timaru Club either via Zoom or in person to hear an address on the Nepal Maternity Project. It was very well presented showing the adverse conditions that had to be dealt with. 65 trained midwifes to 30 million people as the saying goes “we do not know how lucky we are”?
This week we have Bridget Wilson and Debbie Stowell talking to us on Blood Pressure and Diabetes. Be prepared to have both tested if you are willing to participate and partners are welcome but please advise Raewyn before Tuesday Midday.

BRIDJET HAS KINDLEY OFFERED TO BE ABLE AT OUR MEETING TO CONDUCT A BLOOD PRESSURE AND BLOOD SUGER TEST, TO OUR MEMBERS.
BRIDJET ADVISED THAT SUCH TEST RESULTS SHOW A SNAPSHOT IN TIME, SUCH TESTS CAN BE INFLUENCED BY A RANGE OF CONDITIONS.
THE FINGER PRICK BLOOD SUGER READING IS THE FIRST STEP IN CHECKING FOR DIABETIS.
FOR THIS WE WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE YOU ALL BRING A NON-PERISHABLE ITEM OF FOOD TO GO TO FOOD BANK PLEASE.
