The Blackhole Enhancement Project is part of a wider group working to improve water quality and habitat in the Waimate District.
On a bright Saturday morning in October saw a great community support and strong Rotary turnout to plant a large area of the bank overlooking the Waihao River just upstream from McCullochs Bridge.
This is part of the Waihao Walkway.

The project is called the Blackhole Enhancement Project and is part of a wider group working to improve water quality and habitat in the Waimate District.
This is certainly a great way for Groups such as Rotary to play a strong part in making our community a better place in which to live.

This is an ongoing project and there will be plenty of opportunities for Rotary members to continue to contribute and show support by being actively involved in the community.
