Club member Dylan Murray was recognised this week with a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) pin and 2 sapphires.

He was recognised for donating $1000 to The Rotary Foundation (TRF).

How did he do it?  By donating $10 a fortnight, the equivalent of a cup of coffee a week, to The Rotary Foundation (TRF).

"I’ve been a member of the Rotary Centurion club for a number of years now and had never worried about how much I had accumulated in donations.  It was a pleasant surprise to received the recognition but it is more satisfying knowing that TRF will do something worthwhile, for some cause, somewhere in the world.” says Dylan.

A Centurion Member is someone who commits to giving at least NZ$100 (or NZ$150 given the tax rebate) to the Annual Fund every year. It is simple to join and makes a huge difference

Every one of these vital donations adds up to make a bigger impact through our SHARE system, in which contributions are invested for three years and then split between the World Fund and the District Designated Fund (DDF). Importantly, our District controls how we spend the DDF.

These donations help Rotary clubs promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water and sanitation, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies and support the environment. So these gifts make a difference both close to home and around the globe.

So that we can continue our humanitarian service, we encourage Clubs and individuals, both Rotary and non-Rotary members, to support the Rotary Foundation through contributions to our District 9999 Rotary Foundation account 03-0903-0613828-00.

Please put “Centurion, your name and Club" (if a Rotary member) in the reference fields and email our District Foundation Administrator, Joan Kiernan, at joan.kiernan@queenstownnz.net that you have made a contribution and whether you wish to become an annual donor through the Centurion Club.
